The award was given at the 26th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance (May 2021). It is titled “The Hispano-Suiza Award for the Most Historically Significant Hispano-Suiza”.
The recipient was the 1938 Hispano-Suiza H6B Dubonnet “Xenia”, from the Mullin Automotive Museum Foundation.
The Xenia is a highly significant car: designed by Jean Andreau, coachwork by Jacques Saoutchik, commissioned by Andre Dubonnet (a noted inventor, pilot, and part of the Dubonnet aperitif fortune). It was hidden during WWII, reemerged afterwards.
